1. The impatient student turned teacher

    I remember when I first got the chance to teach.

    I did a brain dump.

    My students were of course overwhelmed with information that they stopped asking. Some even stopped coming.

    I was impatient to turned the younglings into me.

    They were impatient to get to the end of the class.

    Luckily, they didn’t turn into me.

    I find this common among new teachers. Their eagerness to teach makes them a very impatient teacher.

    In their impatience, they failed to realise that they themselves were a student once.

    I was a student once.

    I know how it feels to have that new ass drowning me with information that I couldn’t cope.

    So if you’ve just turned to teaching for the very first time, be a little bit more patient.

    Remember, you were a student once.
