I remember when I first got the chance to teach.
I did a brain dump.
My students were of course overwhelmed with information that they stopped asking. Some even stopped coming.
I was impatient to turned the younglings into me.
They were impatient to get to the end of the class.
Luckily, they didn’t turn into me.
I find this common among new teachers. Their eagerness to teach makes them a very impatient teacher.
In their impatience, they failed to realise that they themselves were a student once.
I was a student once.
I know how it feels to have that new ass drowning me with information that I couldn’t cope.
So if you’ve just turned to teaching for the very first time, be a little bit more patient.
Remember, you were a student once.
